A. Osmonov was born in the village of Kaptal-Aryk in the present Panfilov district of the Kyrgyz SSR in a poor man's family. Having lost his parents early, he was brought up in the Pishpek and Tokmak orphanages
The poet dedicated many poems to the Motherland, native land, people, and nature of Kyrgyzstan. In his poems and poems “Kyrgyz Mountains”, "Not waves, but Swans" and others, he conveys the elusive nuances of the multicolored Issyk-Kul, the greatness and beauty of his native nature.

* The future poet began working at the age of 14 in periodicals. He did it on a voluntary basis.
• In 1929-1933 he studied at the Frunze Pedagogical Technical School
• Made his debut as a poet in 1930
• In 1932-1936 he worked in the editorial offices of the magazine "Chabuul" and the newspaper "Leninchil Zhash"
• In 1937-1940. - he was the secretary of the Board of the Joint Venture of Kyrgyzstan on a voluntary basis.
* Osmonov's debut as a translator was the poem "The Knight in the Tiger's Skin"by Shota Rustaveli. This is the first major poetic translation in the history of Kyrgyz Soviet literature
• The most famous was the poetry collection "Love" (1945), which included poems that reflected Osmonov's personal drama: "What am I ashamed of", "My Star", "Thirtieth Anniversary"
• Alykul Osmonov was married. He was supposed to become a father, but the girl died. The poet had no more children.
* Osmonov was popularly called "the Kyrgyz Yesenin"
• In 2012, a full-length film "Mezgil Zhana Alykul" was released. The picture was shot by a domestic journalist Aidai Chotueva.
His memory
He died at the age of thirty-five, due to lung disease, in 1950. Osmonov was posthumously awarded the first prize of the Lenin Komsomol of the Republic. The Union of Writers of Kyrgyzstan has established the Alykul Osmonov Literary Prize. In Kyrgyzstan, several schools are named after Osmonov. Gymnasium No. 68 in Bishkek, schools in Cholpon-Ata and the village of Kaptal-Aryk, where the poet was born. A 200 SOM banknote with the image of the poet appeared in Kyrgyzstan in 2000. In Kyrgyzstan, several museums cover the life and work of this cultural figure. For example, the museum named after Alykul Osmonov in the village of Kaptal-Aryk and the house-museum in the National Library.
