Legendary baatyr of Kyrgyz With his noble deeds and loud sports achievements, Kojomkul glorified himself for centuries. He is associated with the legendary Manas - he is the same impressive, omnipotent and, most importantly, generous.

Baatyr Kojomkul was born in 1889 and lived in the village of 8 March, which was later renamed in his honor and is now called Kojomkul. He gained fame throughout the country due to his physical characteristics - his height was more than 2 meters, despite the fact that he was of a thin build, he weighed 164 kg (according to other sources - 203), the middle finger of his hand was 26 cm.

In his youth, Kojomkul could easily wipe the nose of any "strong man" in power competitions. He won many competitions, by the end of the 20s there was not a single opponent left for him in Kyrgyzstan.

With impressive physical data, Kojomkul never boasted of his strength and did not show his physical superiority to anyone. At the same time, he was a generous, modest and pure-hearted man. He never raised his voice at people.

The strongman was engaged not only in sports, but also in public affairs: he was the chairman of the committee of the poor, the head of the land department of the Kara-Balta district, the chairman of the executive committees of the Suusamyr, Kaiyrma, Koko-Meren village councils. He died at the age of 67 in 1955.
